Sarah Walters

Sarah has been a part of Raincoat since its beginnings and her bells have delighted those who come and go!  This time Patrick has made a special instillation of them, and you are welcome to help make them sing!  They will be joined by other little ceramic treasures - all make with sensitivity and passion in "Gallery Sarah Walters"

We have several works by Sarah Walters at the Gallery, below are just some examples.  Contact the Gallery for further information about what we have available.

Leoni Duff

Leoni's name is known by most discerning Tasmanians, and her reputation as an artist and mentor is way up there!  Without "formal training" Leoni's quest for truth and excellence has carried her to the top of the artistic ladder!  Her paintings and pastel drawings beggar belief and we are all so fortunate to have two of her amazing creations here in this gallery...

Warwick Campbell

Warwick has had at least one of his exquisite and meticulously executed works in each of our shows.  His ability to produce another of his amazing works every month or so is little short of unbelievable... and the works, which speak of how human activity affects our environment, are involving and confronting - while also showing us how beautiful our world really is.

Lyn Kelly

Lynn taught at Senior Secondary Art and Graphic Design for many years.  Since retiring from teaching, her own artistic practice has taken wings!  She is now concentrating on Oil Painting, and the results are simply stunning!  Lynn has already had two very successful solo shows, and we look forward to her name and work being on everyone's "must have" list!  Lynn's paintings of Tasmania's pools, lakes, rivers and seas somehow bring the water off the canvas and flood the viewer with energy, the life and the many moods and colours of her subject matter...

Helen Haberland

After a childhood in the presence of two inspirational grandmothers who were absorbed in high fashion and the creative use of textiles, respectively, Helen’s interest in the reinvention and the art of rescuing old fibres wa securely planted. She studied Art at UTas and the history of embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework in the UK and has produced sensitive and beautiful pieces - one of which, inspired by our natural environment, is shown here

Patrick Sutczak

Sculpture with Re-used Hydrowood Patrick’s inspiring contribution to this gallery constantly lifts our spirits, our standards and our aspirations. He has had years of curatorial and creative experience in the Visual Arts. This, combined with his uncanny natural instinct for how things sit together, makes his contribution to Raincoat’s existence and presentation invaluable. His own work is strongly linked to caring for our environment and understanding the beauty around us.
